Adult ADHD DD always tired

Dd is 24 with ADHD diagnosis and possibly ASD (not yet diagnosed). She’s always tired and sleeps so much.ADHD medication never worked for her, although she did try. Also she finds it easier to sleep in the day than in the evening. Does anyone know how I can help her have more energy? She’s had a blood test, came back ok.

What were the blood tests for?

How many ADHD medications did DD try?

What is her diet like? Does she take any supplements?

Does she take anything to help with sleep at night?

What is she doing during the day or is she sleeping all day? What does she do at night if she isn’t sleeping?

The blood tests were to rule anything out.
DD had tried several medications upping the dose each time with no change.
Good diet and take supplements too.
She does a pt course at Uni and spends free time creative writing and occasionally gaming.
Last week her class was cancelled so she came home and went to bed. I worry why she needs so much sleep all of the time and concern if she eventually got a job.

But what were the specific blood tests for? There are lots of things that can cause fatigue. DD needs to know exactly what blood tests were undertaken to know if there are others that could be tested for.

It is worth DD discussing ADHD meds with a psychiatrist again. There are loads of different types and combinations. If DD doesn’t take anything to help her sleep at night, worth discussing that too.

Everyday life can be more exhausting. Look at spoon theory.
