ASD / ADHD private Assessment in London

Hi - I'm looking for recommendations for private clinics for ASD / ADHD assessment for 13 yo DD. I'm concerned about reports that private clinics are dishing out diagnoses without rigorous assessments, so want to find one that's thorough. Also keen to find one with a strong understanding of ND in girls. TIA for help and sorry if this is a much asked question. I couldn't find an answer in a search.

@fuzzywigsmum did you manage to find anywhere yet?

Thanks @RappersNeedChapstick. I have been given a couple of recommendations from offline contacts. One local mum told me that they only waited three months for an assessment once they saw CAHMs, so actually I'm now thinking of holding off until we here back form them about our referral.

We took our DS to LAAP in London where you can have a multi-disciplinary assessment with Ed Psychs, OTs, SALT and clinical psychologists all in one go. It was expensive but extremely thorough. I would definitely recommend them.

My DS was already diagnosed with ADHD and ASD at the time, we were getting more comprehensive reports from LAAP for his EHCP but the team can assess and diagnose as well, we just didn't need this part of the service.

Our DS was diagnosed for ASD in the NHS and had ADHD diagnosis through both the NHS and privately with Dr Daphne Keen (He had the diagnosis twice because of a cross over in waiting times) Dr Keen is fantastic but I'm not sure if she's still taking on new clients. Worth an enquiry though.

3 months for an assessment is unheard of round where we are (Herts/NW borders). DC got their adhd and asd assessments done by Dr Christine Williams in Watford- she was extremely thorough and I fully recommend her.

Thanks for these recommendations. Going to pick all this up again in September.
