My ds2 goes to a special needs school, and he's been having challenging behaviors, saying that he's not happy at school and they want him to go to adult day care, he's 17 18 in December can they make him leave or can i insist he's says untill he's 19, he's not the first student they have done this to , what are my rights.

The school can request an early review and state they can’t meet DS2’s needs. But, unless the school is wholly independent, there are limited reasons the LA can use not to name your preferred placement and you don’t need the school to agree to being named.

Have you requested an early review?

I would be pushing for the EHCP to remain in place and DS to have a placement via that rather than the EHCP cease and a placement via social care.
