Hello a montha ago I bought a new washing machine my adult child chose it. It had to go back and I had to choose a replacement.
Pop and bottom my child had a meltdown when new one arrived because he said I disrespected him by not discussing which one we got in place of the 1st one. I also disrespected him for not informing him when it was coming. I was out it came early and he wasn't happy that I didn't take my phone with me so I could take the call informing me that delivery was going to be early.
Was I disrespectful opinions please

I wouldn’t call it disrespectful, but I think you should have told DS the washing machine was being delivered if there was a chance you wouldn’t be in, and I would expect you to have taken your phone.

If DS struggles with change, I think it would have been nice to have involved him in the decision about the replacement to reduce his anxiety and overwhelm, but again, I’m not sure I would call it disrespectful.
