Neuro pathway referral

I completed a neuro pathway referral form back in November for DD, now 14, for an autism assessment. She’s been at crisis point 5 times, 3 times she’s ended up in hospital, so she really could do with this assessment. The school told me they’d fill in section C, send it to me to read, then they’d send it off. I read it and said it was fine to send in.
DD is also under CAMHS and they recommended I ring neuro and see where she is on the waiting list, it’s currently at 4 years. I rang and they haven’t received anything from the school so I’ve messaged the school and it turns out they didn’t send it despite me forwarding on the email chain between us where they stated they would send it. I’m so frustrated and a bit angry that we’re going to have to resubmit and start the wait all over again.

I would request the form is submitted ASAP then check it has actually been submitted and complain.

Although, the majority of support is based on needs rather than diagnosis so the school should already be providing support.

I feel your pain. We found our local High School actually obstructive rather than helpful.

Took them 8 months to send in their assessment of DD.
