Just a vent

DD 14, hopefully to be diagnosed with ADHD soon and then we can look at ASD. Locked in a loop of ‘can’t do homework/have to do homework’, “Mum I don’t know what to do”. Everything I say is wrong and she’s now decided she must have a shower before anything else. I’m staying calm so far but I just want to scream.

Would it help to cut down the homework to only the very essentials &/or doing it at school (either during a homework club at lunch/afterschool or by dropping a subject or 2)?

On the bright side, at least she's acknowledging that she should be doing it

@Headfirstintothewild thanks for these suggestions. She only had that one piece to do last night and she only gets 4-5 pieces a week. After school is hard as she’s not home until about 5.15 and the first task is to feed her!
