Hi There, my daughter's OT suggested this site and I was reading about the messy bedrooms of girls with ASD etc. I'm new to it was my daughter is 17 but only diagnosed 4 years ago, together with ADHD, Depression and eating disorder.
Anyway, I'm new to terminologies such as PDA and I was wondering if anyone could suggest a good book for parents of ASD teenagers. Also, my daughter was diagnosed with Level 2 - where do I find out more about levels etc please?

Thank you.

I'm not sure about the levels sorry @ASDLives, that's something which is pretty new to me too. Our DD is currently being assessed.

No idea on books either. My main tactic with her bedroom is to do 10 minutes when she's out of the house. I do try to take glasses and crockery each day and empty the bins regularly.

If I do much more than 10 minutes if cleaning/tidying her room is too different for her and she will have a meltdown.

She finds wants to do it herself but finds it all too overwhelming.

Just put if interest, does she take any ADHD meds or have any ADHD coaching?
