Hi,

My DS is 17 and at college. He said this morning that one of his tutors has asked him if he has ADHD. My son was confused and said no, he hasn't.

The tutor said well I think you should get tested for it. I'm not sure why she said this, I asked my son why she would have said this, and he said well I am quite hyper in lessons and I do talk a lot.

What do I do from here?

Does your DS feel that it would be worth getting tested for ADHD? If you've both read up on the signs abc think it's a possibility, I would go with him to see the GP and ask for a referral.

Has any other teacher ever mentioned this? Do you think your child struggles to focus, has difficulty with organisation and structure, struggles to emotionally regulate etc.?
