Neurodiverse DD starting Uni. Tips for encouraging contact with home

My neurodiverse daughter is starting uni next week. She has no diagnosis (another story), but my main concern is I would like to know she's ok and I'm worried she won't contact us as much as we'd like or may be experiencing problems which we could easily help with but just don't know about. She is quite independent and sensible, but stuff usually comes out of leftfield with her.

Do you have any tips about how u successfully got young person to engage well with home? Apps, etc?

TIA

Would DD be willing to set a specific time to contact home once a week (or however often she wants to)?

Thanks for your response. Yes, I think she would. My concern is a lot can happen in a week, particularly in the first couple of months. It may be a case of my expectations not matching hers!

If DD agrees, the contact could be at a set time every day or every other day, at least to begin with.
