Weekend activities for teen with Downs

My son is 13 and has Down's syndrome. At the weekend he doesn't want to go out or do anything with me. He's happy watching tv but I know it's not good for him. I suggest loads of things but he's very stubborn and physically strong.

There are no local clubs and his school friends don't live nearby.

What do your kids with SN do at the weekend!

DD enjoyed climbing at that age. It was a Saturday morning club and although it wasn't specifically a SN club there were a few kids there with SN.

Would he try that?

My DD is about to turn thirteen and has DS. She enjoys movies and we have a CEA card to make it cheaper. She loves swimming, ten pin bowling and we hope to get into crown green bowling soon. Some cooking and crafts, under supervision. But she also loves telly.
