Uni accommodation

My DD has ASD, anxiety, depression and contamination OCD. She has been accepted onto her course of choice at the uni that was her first choice but the problem is the accommodation that she has been offered.
She specifically wanted en suite because of her OCD but has not been offered this. She has contacted the university, including the disabled students office but all they have said is that they advise her to accept what she has been offered and then she can go on a list to try and swap. She has to accept or decline by Sunday.
This is causing her so much stress and anxiety and has taken the shine off what should be an exciting time for her.
We really don’t know what to do and any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I would go back to the disability services and state the need for an en-suite room is because of her disability and is a reasonable adjustment and DD needs assurance she will have an en-suite room. Is the need for an en-suite room stated in the DSA report? Are there any private halls nearby?

Thank you for your reply.
She has contacted the disability services and they emailed the accommodation people asking them to look into my DD issues but the accommodation people have said that she has to accept it and then go on a waiting list in the hope of getting a swap.
She said that when she had the DSA assessment they didn’t go into anything to do with the accommodation. She provided the full report to the university of her ASD diagnosis which was only done 18 months ago and that details her struggles with OCD.
We haven’t looked into private accommodation and I feel as though we don’t have the time to sort it out now as she has to give them an answer by Sunday.

I would email again, reiterating an en-suite is required as a reasonable adjustment because of DD’s disability, so hoping to get a swap is not an adequate solution.

The DSA report should cover the need for specific types of accommodation, so I would follow that up.
