My DD is 22 ADHD/ASD and is due to start her second year in Uni next month. However I’m not completely sure it’s going to work out as she’d only just scraped through the first year. If this doesn’t go ahead I’m not sure she’ll ever work (her words) and is beginning to lose interest in the course as it is.

What would she be entitlement to benefit wise if all sinks? My OH has a good job and savings and doesn’t believe she’d be entitled to UC.

Also has anyone gone through similar, advice welcome.

Does DD receive PIP now?

If DD doesn’t have savings or capital over £16k she would be eligible for UC. She would get £292.10 per month and if found to have a LCWRA an additional £390.06. There would be work commitments unless she hands in fit notes and is then found to have LCWRA (or LCW which may mean she has some commitments to prepare for working).

Is DD receiving support, including via DSA, at university.

Does she want to go back for the second year? Will she talk it through with you?
