My DD has just been diagnosed with dyspraxia and I am wondering if anyone in a similar position can recommend where to start re accessing help?

We are in Ireland so services are a bit different but we have seen a private occupational therapist for the assessment.

It’s hard to advise as you aren’t in UK but once assessed, the main thing for my DC14 (10 when diagnosed) was what adjustments and support were put in place by the school so assume your DD will have this?

My DC for example is allowed to wear trainers rather than school shoes to support balance, uses a laptop (we supply), extra time in exams, leave early to allow for better transition between classes as wayfinding is an issue etc etc but depends on needs of your DD?

outside of this there is recommended exercises via the OT but my DC doesn’t do those!

Thanks @GreenSalon this is helpful. The supports should be similar but I just want to check what I should be looking for !
