My daughter is owed money by PIP and they won't pay it

Because of a change in her living circumstances, my dd who is 21 and gets highest rate PIP was owed about £2000. The person I spoke to about this volunteered the information and said that it would be paid to her within 1-2 weeks.

3 months later, she still does not have it. She's in supported living so needs this money for bills etc. Every time I ring up, I wait an hour on the line to speak to someone to be told 'we just need a bit more time'.

What could possibly be going on? Does anyone know why they'd be dragging their feet about this?

Why are they refusing? Are they querying eligibility? Have you complained?

They are not saying she's not eligible. They say that she will receive the money but they 'need more time'. It's so weird.

I haven't complained yet, mainly because I'm not sure how to. I have asked my MP to contact them and he says they are not responding to him!

You can complain via the phone or in writing.
