How do you get your ASD sons to shave?

Ds is 13 next week and went into puberty very early. Recently he’s started growing a rather impressive moustache. The issue is he doesn’t like the moustache as it’s ‘itchy’ and he doesn’t like the sensation of it being wet however he also won’t have stuff touch his face due to sensory issues. Dh has tried getting him to shave with a bic and also an electric shaver but both times have resulted in tears. Dh is getting worried that when he goes back to school people are going to target him for having a moustache as the past couple of years ds has been bullied relentlessly. Any advice?

Have you thought about hair removal creams like Nair?

ds2 has taken to using a hair trimmer rather than a shaver. Obviously does not give as close a cut but as he has fairish hair gets way with it.

@OneInEight I’m not sure if it would work for ds as he has dark hair.
@coribells I’ve got some hair removal cream for him to try out.

Coming in with a late answer. Our son is now early 20s, hates shaving.he doesn't have the motor skills to do it himself and will actively resist us doing it.

When it gets too long he will usually let us trim moustache and beard down with scissors. so it's still hairy but not so bad.
