Housing for adult DS

I’m not sure whether to put this here for traffic or on the adults board, so will try both.

DS2 is 21, with severe autism, epilepsy and severe learning difficulties as well as anxiety and all the behaviours that come with it. We are planning his future ( DH and I are older parents) and trying to decide what form of supported living would suit him best. He attends an excellent day service with 2:1 support and social services recognise that he will need 2:1 support when he lives in his own place.

One of our thoughts is for us to move from our current house and move to a local property with a large garden, where DS could have an eco-house. He would be supported by carers but be able to see us when he needed to.

Does anyone have experience of this kind of set up and whether it works?
