Appointee

I am asking to be made an appointee for my DC. Has anyone else done this? Will my DC be interviewed alone or can l be with them? My DC will mask so will appear to them, to be able to represent themselves at the appeal, when l know that is not the case.

Try not to worry. F2F interviews haven’t resumed post Covid for everyone, so you may not even have an interview, but if you do you will be able to remain with DC.

l spoke to PIP and they are sending someone out to see us. It might take 2-3 weeks.

l feel like giving up. Everything is against us. This nightmare started over 2 years again. I don’t know if l have the energy to continue. I totally understand why people give up trying to get PIP!

I applied to be my son's appointee. No phone call, no visit. They just accepted it.

You are lucky. I have to wait and see when they can come round and see me.

When the person came to see us, I explained that my daughter may not engage with her and she said that was fine. In the end she came in and just said a very quick hello.

It is one of the very few things that the DWP actually try to be helpful with!

Thank @vjg13 that makes me feel a bit better about the visit. I just don’t want to mess it up. This tribunal appeal has been going on for a long time and l just need it to be settled.

Mine was just accepted .. I returned the form but the hadn't actioned it.
