My son has profound learning difficulties and is not verbal and cannot read or write.
we now have him refusing carers so I’m at my wits end as to what to do.
social services say there isn’t anything else.
but surely there must be? How do other parents cope in the summer holidays? My son goes to a specialist provision , above special school ,as that failed and had this provision not been in place for my authority , he would’ve gone to a residential which would have meant no breaks during the year.
yet there is no cover for holidays.
