Feeling yuk!

I wonder if anyone could give me a bit of reassurance :-(

We have paid to go down the private diagnosis route with our now 18 yr old DD for ADHD, have followed the diagnosis of ADHD (inattentive), and the advice give we have gone down the private medication route. Tablets have arrived, Elvanse Adult.

I've just read the tablet information sheet and I just feel yuk. It's scary stuff, so many things that can go wrong, side effects, it is such serious stuff. I could cry.

DD's issues are with concentration, overthinking and fixating on things, energy highs and then massive energy lows, mood swings and overeating.

Just looking for reassurance that these tablets may make a positive difference.

All medications have potential side effects. If you look at the patient information leaflet of any medication, there is a list of potential side effects. Doesn’t mean you/DC will experience them.

My DS lost loads of weight whilst on it but it did calm him down.

What are DD's thoughts on taking it @skysky69?
