Stress incontinence starting age 20

My autistic son just started at uni in September - a huge achievement and his life dream. However leading up to it we could see so many physical indications of stress (oral thrush, very yellow snot and the occasional pooh in his pants). I was hoping that once he had started at uni it would settle down. Unfortunately the stress diarrhoea is continuing and he is not that good at dealing with it. We've had a doctor's appointment but they found nothing physically wrong. It is becoming a real worry as it sometimes happens in the day when he is out and about. He tries to ignore it and carry on - a social disaster!! We have another doctor's appointment booked but has this happened to anyone else? Is there a treatment? This never happened after the age of 4 till now so it must be the stress of uni, the absolute worst time for it to start.😩
