Driving Lessons

My son is 16 and has dyspraxia. His gross motor skills are affected and he has poor hand eye coordination. He is beginning to talk about driving lessons and I'm unsure whether driving an automatic car would be easier/safer?? Has anyone had experience of this? Was driving a manual car possible? We have a small automatic car that he could drive once he'd passed so I'm wondering if it's worth the effort of going for a manual licence!

I've known people to do it but I suppose DS would have to be willing?

Personally, I believe that it would help! My sister really struggled to adjust to a manual car but found automatic super easy. She learnt with this company, so it may be worth asking them.

My DD1 with dyspraxia learned in an automatic.
I am convinced it made it much easier for her.
With cars going electric I think in future there will be less and less issues with not being able to drive manual cars.
