Hi all, we have a 20 year old DD who was diagnosed with ADHD a couple of years ago. She tried a few weeks of Ritalin but it made her feel funny so she stopped. She failed to respond to messages from Psychiatry UK so they returned her to care of G.P.
She is now at University and struggling with low mood and obviously very disorganized. GP had prescribed Sertraline but it had not helped so far( 4 weeks)
I feel she needs to see a psychiatrist as could have ADHD,autism, anxiety, depression, PTSD, rapid cycling bi-polar. ( or combination)Her ADHD was diagnosed virtually filling in firms and chatting to someone briefly.
GP says she does not meet threshold for even CMHT. How do we get her assessed? Does anyone have any recommendations for someone specialised in young adults? We are South Coast and she is Cumbria.
