I’m so bloody stressed right now.
My mum is currently in hospital following a fall so am finding myself with no time to do anything. On top of that my DD who is 21 on the autistic spectrum (most probably) is driving me mad. She goes to Uni, and when she’s not there is at home. She doesn’t particularly understand the concept of work and how tired I can be once I’ve finished it. She wants to ‘talk’ but then we run out of conversation and when I ask her for her news it’s met with ‘oh another boring day…’. I try to suggest things we could do together but it’s met with disapproval.
please someone, help, advise, anything?

Would she be more receptive to a social story (one more suited to adults obviously)? So she can see the scenarios and make decisions she could take around that story.

Also wondering if a pack of ‘sussed’ cards might be fun for you and her. So like ‘what would you do/would you rather’ card game to help her gain confidence chatting to you about the stuff she likes etc? It might help her with the rigidity of thought aspect of autism.
