Hi there, I’m asking for a bit of advice, my son has had Asperger’s autism since he was 1 but was not diagnosed till he was 2 1/2 yrs old. I had been claiming disability for him since then. But 6 yrs ago disability stopped his claim so I went to court and won his disability back. Yes it was low rate but it still helped him for his needs. Before my son turned 16 I made the process of changing him over to PIP, the forms all got handed in along with the relevant info and proof, I had my phone consultation with the assessor and was then told that he would not be allowed it. I am currently fighting at the courts again and have got to the point where my husband and myself feel let down by the whole process because of lack of help from officials and from family. Has anyone else had this experience and what do they do to get through it. Any advice would be welcome.

Benefits and work are helpful.

If you aren’t already DS’s appointee you should ask to become it if DS can’t manage his affairs himself.

Why is he not being awarded? Did you see the report?

Did you see how many points you were off getting it?
