I'm sure he'll be fine, and he's 18 so technically an adult, but he has ASD and ADHD so sometimes either makes assumptions that are wrong or interprets instructions wrongly and his time-keeping is terrible. I have emphasised that Ryanair gates are always the furthest possible away and that

How odd, only half of my post actually posted. I think my computer might need a restart.

I also said that he's going to visit a friend in Spain, he has been there before Covid but this time he's going on his own.

How did it go for him ?

He made it! He was completely cool about it, but I texted to make sure that he was at the gate on time. I was definitely more worried than him, but I often am because he's not great at predicting the future so he never thinks anything will go wrong until it does.

He's freaking out a bit because his phone won't roam and we can't figure out why but otherwise enjoying himself in Spain. So everyone's happy.

Well, everyone's happy except the dog. DH and DD are in Malaysia visiting the in laws and now DS has gone, the poor dog is following me from room to room in case I disappear too. Grin

Ahh great to hear - my DD really needs to start to do some travelling on her own by bus and tube, she's 16. Hope you enjoy your time alone with the dog :)

Is she nervous about it isitme111 or gung ho but with the possibility of coming unstuck? It's definitely a nice taste of freedom when they can get about by themselves. I used to drive DS everywhere but recently he has been using an electric bike to go to the gym and martial arts classes and he really enjoys the independence.

She comes across as being quite confident about it, I think I will follow her the first few times though 🙂
