How to navigate Gatwick with SEN teen with challenging behaviour

We're flying to Spain with EasyJet next month. Our teen does not queue and becomes aggressive and agitated in crowds. We haven't been abroad for several years but booked this before the latest travel chaos and are now getting nervous.
Can anyone offer advice on any help that may be available? It's not clear online.
Thank you

You should be able to pick up an 'invisible disability' lanyard at check in which will help you get through security quicker by going in the priority lane.

Register for special assistance - they have special check in / security / boarding depending on what you need.

Explain to a member of staff at each stage and IME they are really helpful at letting you avoid as much queuing as possible. At the gate they will let you board first if that helps. Good luck, it can be daunting flying with a person with additional needs at the best of times.

Yes you can use assisted travel. Some airports you can pre-book .I am sure I pre-booked Gatwick for my son. They escort you through security and get called to plane first. It was just the 3 of us on minibus to plane.at other end everyone disembarks and then you leave with assistance . It does make it so much easier

We have always done the following:

Driven to airport the night before, booked into hotel at the airport (normally a premier in).
This means you are there early, not stressed and calm as possible. You can also check out what the airport is like so they know what's happening next day.
Use valet car parking, it's often cheaper than you think and means no stress when your arrive back in UK.
Book special assistants. This means they take you though the airport, missing a lot of queues and the staff know there is more care to be taken. You are often first in the plane too.
Booked airport lounge. The general areas are way too busy for us. Also Wifi, food, drink, quiet and somewhere to charge things. We get this free with our bank account.
This has made it possible for us to manage airports better with our kids.
HTH and hope you have a fab trip
