How to help SN kids with motivation for schoolwork

DD has ASD and ADHD. Her attitude to doing schoolwork is terrible. She’s all ‘there’s no point, I’m rubbish at it, I never get any better, what’s the point, it’s pointless’. She does the minimum work she can get away with. I worry about her future. She has a very negative mindset. How can I help her with this? How can I get her to see that doing 10 minutes of maths at home a few times a week will help her and make her life for the next few years easier?

Does anyone have any advice? I’m so worried that she’s going to fail everything at school.

Hey mine were like that as kids too it gets easier I promise you. Maybe if it’s an ASD child work special intrests into it? My little one loved dinosaurs for a while I found dino math worksheets we did Dino reward charts we did creative writing about dinos we did persuasive writing in why I should let them buy a Dino etc try working their interests into it make it a game
