Just wanted to pop on to reassure other parents going through the dreaded dla to pip process that my son was awarded today without any involvement. I did the form myself and spoke to the assessor for about an hour. Took five months from applying to receiving his letter. It was not as scary as I thought it would be x

That’s really encouraging.

I’ve applied for my 16DD and submitted the forms early May.
she has diagnosis of Tourette’s, tics, FND, dyslexia and 2.5 years waiting for her stage 2 ASC assessment.
still Having self doubts about having completed it correctly.

We also had her ECHP assessment yesterday and they made comments ref her many needs that made me feel she may finally receive the right support.

Thank you for sharing. I’m feeling very isolated on this frustrating journey, so it’s good to hear some positive news.

I worried so much about the whole process because of all the horror stories. The assessor made me feel really at ease. It is a really frustrating process but hopefully you will have a positive outcome at the end and your DD gets the support which she so deserves. x
