ASD work experience

16 year old DS has been accepted on some very well planned and interesting looking work experience which will be done over Teams. He has ASD and although very bright and into the subject he has all the usual social issues and may at times appear blunt/rude or not say anything due to anxiety. I suggested he tell them about his diagnosis and he didn't want to. Would it be completely wrong of me to give them a heads up to avoid him potentially being misunderstood or wrongly judged? This is a place that he'd love to later get an apprenticeship at and I would hate for him to shoot himself in the foot by not being upfront about being autistic. They are extremely pro diversity and I am very confident that them knowing would be viewed only positively. However he might never forgive me/trust would be damaged if he found out. Don't know what to do for the best. I have helped him every stage of the way with applying and he was so please to get it should I just back off here?

Completely wrong. If he has said he doesn’t want to tell them, then you absolutely can’t.

I do understand, I’d love for everyone to understand that DS is so literal / blunt due to ASD, but it’s his life and I’ve had to learn to take a step back and let him find his own way.
hopefully your DS will impress them with his keenness and subject knowledge.
