As the total says, trying to avoid my child leaving school due to very poor mental health (suicide attempts).

What support should we expect from school?

I meant help to access her education. NOT help with her mental health.

It depends on the school and the support they have in place. They should be offering to meet you and your child to see if there is anything practical they can do to help (eg - would the student benefit from additional support outside of lessons, such as some 1-1 sessions to help them with learning content). Some schools/sixth forms have a counsellor, so I'd ask them if they have, and if so, absolutely ask for your child to be referred to them. Many sixth forms also have mentoring programs which should help.

I think your best bet at the moment is a meeting with the sixth form to discuss what's going on, how your child is struggling and what support you'd like from them/what support they can offer.

I'm really sorry to hear about the multiple suicide attempts. This must be very tough on all of you. Sending love Flowers
