Young Adult Benefits

Has anyone recently applied for UC for their young adult SN child, and would like to share the outcome ?
19 YO SN who is doing life skills for at least the next 2 years in college.
I’m looking to stop child benefit and get things in their own name, but worried because she’s still in college she’ll get nothing.

It would be worthwhile getting in touch with Contact as the rules for claiming UC for disabled young people still in education have recently changed. There’s more information here and here.
