ADOS 2 and ADI interview given equal weight

Hi,

My 20 year old daughter recently had a private assessment for ASD and has the report back, which the psychiatrist will discuss with her in a few weeks. The report doesn't conclude whether she has ASC or not. In the report she got a 6 on the ADOS 2 and for the interview I gave, she was over the cut off for autism on all of them. It seems that her ADOS puts her just below the cut off, but will the ADI which puts her over the cut off, influence the psychiatrist? She's certain that she's autistic and masks incredibly well. The psychiatrist missed a few things in the report too, such as the fact she stims all the time.

My daughter has assessment next week and I am worried she will perform well in the ADOS due to masking.

we got a (private) diagnosis today! The psychiatrist said that the ADI was often more reliable and that females often mask on the ADOS. She's very happy and relieved after years of struggling to understand herself. Hope your assessment goes well and gives answers
