Looking for advice please. Just got back from a walk with my DD12 to try and calm her down from a huge meltdown. She’s not diagnosed but we strongly suspect ADHD and possibly ASD. School is making a referral but could be a long wait.
It’s windy and cold here, we’re not in the eye of the storm though fortunately. She spent half an hour lying on the pavement refusing to come home. Apparently we hate her and she doesn’t want to live with us any more. I waited it out and managed to bring her home and she’s getting ready for bed now.
What do I do? What would you have done? How would you have handled that? What do I do next time if she continues to refuse to come home? What if she runs off and I can’t find her? I’m lost and have no ideas how to deal with this. She’s vile to her sisters, getting increasingly violent, screaming at the top of her lungs. Help
