DD is 13 (ASD) and I'm really struggling. I also struggle with depression. I really wish Christmas would just fuck off as I cant be arsed with it all.
I also have a beautiful baby who deserves more than a crying mummy right now.
I have so much to do but I just want to hide away.

Hi SouthParkCovid, we're sorry you're feeling so low. We just wanted to give your thread a bump to get it back into Active Conversations so you can hopefully get a bit of support from other Mumsnetters.

Hang on in there Flowers

Hi SouthParkCovid,
Did not want to read and run. I'm sorry you are having a hard time. It's a very hard time of year. Hang in there. Is there anyone you can talk to. Do you get any help with your daughter?

Hi SouthParkCovid - You're almost definitely, probably, pretty certainly not a crap mum. I hope you feel better than yesterday. Is there any particular reason you're feeling crap - is it your ASD DD? Or too much work with the LO? Could you have postnatal depression? (Sorry about all the questions, but you don't give much away in your post.)

Christmas is hard for people with ASD so it is hard for parents of people with ASD too. Does your Christmas involve a lot of socialising? Does it stress your DD out? I find it helps to do as little as possible and to make a plan which includes things that my DC like doing. We do socialise, but not on Christmas day. Is there anything your DD could do which she will enjoy and will keep her occupied?

Xmas and the build up sucks
My 13 Year old had a horrific meltdown in the run up
On Boxing Day I woke up and we’ve stayed home and mostly Comaony free since
Hope
You are coping !
