ADHD medication and tics

Has anyone tried Ritalin or other stimulant ADHD Medication on children with tics and if so, has it significantly worsened the tics? Non-stimulants have been suggested but apparently don’t work so well and have awful sounding side effects compared to the stimulants.

I was wondering if you went ahead and tried Ritalin? I’m in the same position as you it seems. My son (9 years old)has both vocal and motor tics and diagnosed with ADHD. We are considering medicating him for it but worry it’ll worsen his tics .
