Ds is diagnosed with ASD and ADHD he attends a specialist school with small case sizes and has an ECHP. He is in year 10 GCSEs next year.I’m after some advice from you wise people.
He has a new English teacher 4th one this year but that’s a different subject. There are 3 students in his English class. He came home Friday and mentioned performing a sea shanty in the end of year assembly, however my problem with it is being performed in ‘arm farts’. Funny when you’re about 3 or 4 not so much at 15! He has been ‘arm farting’ more at home I send him to wash his hands each time which seems to be discouraging it nicely.
I’m trying really hard to encourage age appropriate pass times. I guess the question is should I involve myself in this or not???

Age appropriate is a really hard call.

So many kids with AN have an emotional 'age' about two thirds of their chronological age, does that help?

If you're concerned that it's not appropriate, contact school and ask their advice.

Thank you. I’ve kind of decided live and live he’s happy he goes happily enough. I can encourage older pursuits.
