Ds2 is 22 and living at home, I applied for PIP for him 4 years ago. The claim is
Coming to an end and We’ve just received the renewal form.

Will he be asked to have a face to face assessment again ?
Do we need to ask the doctor for the same supporting letter we already sent the last time .

He has Aspergers and epilepsy.
Thanks for any help. We are stressing!!

Can we send the same supporting evidence from when diagnosed years ago or do we need up to date stuff . He hasn’t seen the gp or the psychologist that diagnosed him in years.

I'd be inclined to think if your supporting evidence was accepted last time and importantly that there have been no change in circumstances then you should be okay with submitting the same again.

If things have changed, or you want to ask for higher awards, then you will need new supporting evidence.

No idea about F2F, sorry, have heard a lot about phone contact instead of F2F because of covid, but perhaps a discreet enquiry to DWP for your area may answer that one.

Some people sail through renewals, so I'll cross my fingers and hope that applies for you Flowers

Do not put that anything has changed even if things are worse, as then you have a chance of it being assessed directly by the Dwp and not sent to Atos/capita.
Currently though even Atos/capita are doing telephone assessments and sometimes paper reviews. No f2f.

Resend the same diagnosis letter, try and get a current letter from GP saying no change , medications etc still the same . They do like to have something dated in the last 12 mo this although not technically necessary.
