Dosage of Medikinet

Just a quick question my ds has ASD and ADHD and has been on medikinet 30mg once a day since June 2018. Today I eventually got an ADHD medication review CAMHS and feel fobbed off and unlistened to. They refused to increase his dose despite the fact he is struggling and is not suffering any side effects. They will contact school in a couple of months apparently and ask them if they think he is struggling. Fantastic except he hasn't been in school since December the 10th and even then was on half days three days a week!
Sorry that wasn't a quick question after all. He is 14 and 6 foot one just wondered what dose you children are on?

Hello reader - I am sorry to hear your son is struggling.

My DD is 14 and around 5'6" she is on a 40mg a day dose of medikinet XL. She was previously on ritalin 15mg twice a day. Her prescription is through her paediatrician. The Dr only asks DD how she is doing/ feeling she has not involved the school.

Interested to follow this. DS is on 20 mg of medikinet (recently increased from 10mg) and it seems to be having no effect whatsoever. He has only been on the increased dose for a few weeks so maybe too soon for a change? He is 13 years old, 5ft 6.5 and 50 kg.
