So very proud of DD!

DD is 20 and has ASD. She started an accountancy apprenticeship with a firm just before lockdown so managed 4 days in March but started again last Wednesday.

Anyway she's told me that she had to check some paperwork with a guy in the workshop today (she's in a small office with about 4 or 5 other people upstairs from the workshop). She didn't know who he was so she had to walk in and shout "Bill?" and then ask him a couple of questions.

This sounds like a ridiculous thing to be proud of but I think any fellow parents of ASD young adults will understand why I'm so proud of her I could burst Smile

That's great! I can quite understand why you're proud of her. That's a really positive start for her.

When any child with additional needs meets a milestone/does something we take for granted etc I always want to shout it from the rooftops.

My youngest has additional needs and for him to do the things my eldest does would take 10x as much effort and determination. Every step should be celebrated

Well done ❤️❤️

That brilliant, no wonder you're so proud.

If only we could have a crystal ball to see these moments when our kids are younger and struggling, I think we'd worry a bit less!

Really pleased for you and your daughter.
