Adhd diagnosis requiref

My son is 14 and has always had difficulty focusing. At the end of primary school he had an ASD referral and although he has traits not enough for a diagnosis. Since the his focus is becoming worse and is highly distracted. I have asked school for support with another referral for ADHD but they are slow and nothing has been done. When I phone the doctors they say school need to do the referral.
I feel like we are stuck as I really feel there is something wrong. Any ideas how to proceed? Thanks

Not sure much is happening currently but Gp can refer for assessment may be worth going back and speaking to another Gp.

My Ds’s primary recommended my Ds was referred to Ot through gp as it was much quicker.
