AIBU to send teens home now ?

Hi help,
My 15 yrold dd invited friends over after day out . I said yes but they could not stay late.
It’s now 11pm
The girls I said could stay over ... but the boys need to go .
They are singing and having s good time . No harm but they are only 15 🤷🏽‍♀️.
What would u do ??

I would be letting them know it is time to go. Something subtle like asking them how they are getting home.

Just told the boys that at 15 yoa I don’t feel comfortable with them staying any longer and they need to go home . Bus in 20 mins

Their curfew is 12.30am
So they tell me 🧘🏽‍♀️

And I feel like I’m talking to myself .... because it’s friday night and all of you are either sleeping or out enjoying yourselves 🙂

Their curfew doesn't have to be the same as yours. Just make it clear that yours is earlier. If they're rule driven, then your rules apply, too, and in your house, they trump any fromelsewhere.

You’re the adult. I can’t believe you’ve left it an hour to tell them to go! It’s your house, your rules. They’re hanging out at yours because they know you’re a soft touch! If you don’t put your foot down now they’ll be round every bloody week!

Agree that it doesn't matter what time they tell you their curfew is. In your house, your rules stand, and that means no guests (that haven't pre-arranged to stay overnight) after 11, so you warn them at about 20 to 11, then go back in at 5 to and tell them you'll see them again another day, but good night now. Then stand and hold the door for them.
