My son is a high functioning, very witty and extremely well-mannered 13-year-old with Aspergers whose anxiety prevents him from going to school very often. As a result, all the friends he made at junior school have moved on leaving him lost and lonely. If anybody has any ideas on how he might be able to find some friends via clubs etc I'd be hugely grateful. Bristol area clubs especially welcome.

I have a teenage son with aspergers. Get in touch with resources for autism. You can Google them. My son has a befriender who takes him out where ever he likes. My son's confidence has grown tremendously. They are a national charity and do operate local clubs which your son can have one to one. My son attended a local Saturday club and went to clubs in the school holidays. They're great. Good luck

Bristol do a NAS weekly out of school club in a couple of different venues and if you add them on facebook they run different events throughout the year that can be good.
