My adult ASD son (28) lives independently in supported housing and has the usual interests of computers, Nintendo/X Box ,gaming, all things Japanese, Naruto, birdwatching, art and talking incessantly about subjects he is interested in. He is very polite and friendly but looks like he has an ASD .As he is very independent and able to go to town alone, go on the bus, to restaurants and on the tram himself, it is difficult to find like minded friends with the same level of independence. He seems content to go out alone but of course it would be nice to find someone to chat to, go to events, cinema, bowling.
Does anyone have a son of similar age and learning disability who would like to find a new friend ?
