Our 15ds has both ADHD and ODD and as the title says, we are struggling to cope with him.
He currently has a social worker and has been under CAMHS, Youth Justice Team, YISP and the hospital paediatrition. All have said they can't work with him because he is uncooperative (as you would expect with his diagnosis). This has ultimately left us with no help at all.
Problems include things such as getting off school bus at an earlier stop and going out with friends, then getting drunk. Normal parenting strategies do not work and he doesn't respond to punishments and simply ignore any boundaries we put in place.
The school have contacted us several times about him not doing school work and failing terribly in his GCSEs, dispute beingzt the grammar school. I am at a complete loss as to what to do and feel I have absolutely no control over the way he behaves.
