Hello, im new here and this is my firt post.
I'm looking for a bit of advice regarding my DD15
She attends a specialist school as she has learning difficulties.
The school has provision for children with autism, learning difficulties etc
She has coped with puberty, normal teenage issues quite well until the past 6 months or so.
We have a very close relationship. We openly talk about everything which makes me feel useless as i just don't know how to help her through this particularly upsetting time.
Alot of her classmates seem to be in 'relationships'. It seems the term 'boyfriend/girlfriend' are just titles. Not many of the children see each other out of school as we all seem to live a distance from each other. Holding hands and touching each other is frowned upon at school as alot of the children struggle with how to conduct yourself properly etc.
She has confided in me that she feels left out, that no one likes her enough to ask her to be their girlfriend and feels it will never happen to her. She just keeps crying and im really struggling with how to ease her worries (which due to her difficulties seem more pronounced)
I've told her that she will meet someone, shes only young etc but it's not helping!
Please help me help her
Thank you
