Pead summary on DD2:

J is 33 months and presents with a history of poor social interaction particularly with peers, rather self-directed behaviour and some sterotypies which include flapping and tiptoeing. She has some speech regression with regards to her language skills but currently at the age of 33 months she will probably still fall within what is acceptable for her chronological age!

Now referals have been made to Early years Advisory service and they will review her in sept.
But will I get anything from this report? will pre school get any help? Im thinking not

Oh dear, that isn't too helpful. Is that the whole report? Are you being referred to SALT for assessment?

No just summary. Had Salt assessmenta few weeks before cdc, which mentioned her lack of eye contact and self directed play must use that term myself when shes being a pita.
Shes referring us to specilaist SALT. Its just a pain because she says all this stuff, but then ends it saying within normal age or do you think she just meant the language?

The detailed part is what matters. Does he give info which you can refer to so that she gets extra help.

lots about self directed play, poor peer interaction, and repetative play. Im hoping pre school will be bale to put something in to help with the play stuff tbh.

Does she have an IEP?

no we have nothing in place. Shes due to start preschool in September but they said they wont be able to put anything in place till she starts
Shes very much like dd1 (HFA) with the self directed play and happy to be set an activity and still be there 3 hours later! however she is very subborn and been known to hit other children if they come too close to her playing
I guess i was hoping report would have a little more meat on it to push though the support needed.

I didn't know DD1 has SN before she started preschool, but 1:1 was in place within 2 weeks of the September start of term. They can push it if they need to, and will.
