Hi there
I suppose it depends on how much support he needs - most for older kids will assume some kind of extra support. My son has CP so we had looked for ones to help support him but the one for older kids that I most liked the look of had the name 'delta' in it's title somewhere. It's an all terrain one and when u see it in black, it looks quite good. Problem is, like most of these the cost is fairly steep. Think it comes in around 1k which is a luxury we can't afford. Stuck with nasty thing provided by nhs. There is another one from tomato which might also work for older kids. Google those Nd see what u can find.

I have a special tomato eio for my son who has autism, it is realy good, lays back as well. The only problem is had to have it delivered from america but adaptive mall website has it at half price and worked out £289 delivered to liverpool.

Jjones, could you do me a huge favour and measure the actual seat from the back of the seat to the end of the footrest with the footrest up. Thanks all the links don't have the exact measurement. You can now buy the special tomato from the uk. Adaptivemall can't send it to the uk anymore.

Nikiday: the maclaren major is great because it is lightweight and folds lke an umbrella style which many cheaper sn pushchairs don't.

Nikiday
sorry I have only just found your reply. I will measure it in the morning. I only got mine a few months ago as well but you could not buy it here then.
