Is this right - about Aspergers

Right, was in a shop in town the other day with my baby DS, with a muslin over hte pram to protect him from the son. An old lady shop assistant said "my grandson can't go out in the sun, he's got aspergers" I was like

Is that right? My neice has aspergers, but this has never the case with her.

Possibly due to sensory issues? Only thing I can think of..

it is probably true for that particular child - the sun may upset him or her due to sensory problems

Everyone who has aspergers/autism is different.

As your niece has aspergers you might want to learn more - if so have a look at the National Autistic Society who have a great website

mmm bright light no thanks being in the sun give me a headache so yea asd autism can be affected like that

my ds has asd and although he goes out some times prefers his dark room. when were going anywhere in the car he covers himself in his coat or a blanket to block out the light.
