Back story - DD (3) was diagnosed with atypical absence epilepsy in January and started on epilim. She still has several hundred seizures a day. It is unlikely that she will "grow out" of having absences. During the absences she will continue to walk (or run), but has no awareness of her surroundings. This has resulted in many trips to A&E with head injuries and a broken nose, amongst other incidents.
Does the above count as a physical disability?
Walking outside is near impossible due to the frequency of the seizures. We have to carry her for any distance of more than about 20m - should I apply for the mobility component?
DD started afternoon nursery school 2 weeks ago for 2 hours a day. Do I need to give details of the school in part 32?
Any help much appreciated.
Thanks.
