I hope you used some of your key words on her

StarOfValkyrie · 19/06/2010 21:36

LOL, no she didn't come today. She came on a day she was expected, - for therapy!

Sure I knew, she had the official test with boxes to tick and everything!

She missed a section and has asked to come back to complete it asap. She was panicking. Shall I give her a date after the tribunal submission deadline?

We wrote to LA a few weeks ago asking all appointments to go through us for this reason - they have responded in appeal by saying we are putting unreasonable limitations on professionals and the flexibility of their service because they can no longer just turn up at nursery without appointments and do whatever they choose to DS! Has to be said the NHS professionals don't have an issue with making an appointment with parents.

Actually I don't think assessing DS would give them any evidence which is different to ours but don't want to be landed with a last minute report to rebut.

Thats quite funny they will have to be really nice to you to come back in time.

Yeah, I agreed though. I have nothing to hide! Assess away. The only person who I won't allow to assess is an OT because I spent 6 months trying to get her before giving up and paying privately. If she wants to do an assessment now she can give me my money back first!

Hmmm....this sounds familar!

There is a sudden flurry of activity from the so-called professionals as my Tribunal date approaches, and they are suddenly all so very positive about what DD can do, and the progress that she has made, which is great, on one level, BUT...they seem much less keen on stating what she can't do.

And they totally shy away from comparing her progress to what she should be doing at her age, in comparison with her peers.

She is on P levels, FFS!

StarOfValkyrie · 20/06/2010 12:26

Well see, it has been difficult for them to get access to ds, because I pulled him out of school. The only person that ever comes into the house is the SALT, so I think she was charged with getting some dirt.

Highly unethical, to swan in and do an assessment without proper discussion, for the sole purpose of acting against the parents wishes, but, like I said, I have nothing to hide. I've been ASKING for assessments since the dawn of time ffs. It changes nothing about my case arguement.

She is nice justa. She was nervous. I think she was bullied into it. Still, she really should have told her employer that she'll do it and then been upfront with me.

Goodness me this whole thing is unpleasant.

I think she was justa. Do you what though, for all the brazeness that I have developed, I KNOW that there is no way on earth I would dare to ask her directly 'so, will I be seeing the results of this presented by the LA at tribunal?'

It would be inpolite to cause a visitor into my home to be uncomfortable.
